IoT weather drone airship drops from sky in Vikarabad district

MARAPALLE: In an unanticipated incident a drone, which was suspected to be IoT Weather Drone Airship for weather forecasting, fell from the sky in Mogaligidda village of Marpalle Mandal in Vikarabad district.

Locals who had noticed the drone were taken by surprise. They had gathered around to capture the device on their phones. The video, since then was circulated over social media. The locals suspect that the Meteorological department might have sent the drone to study the weather conditions.

According to reports, these drones are flown into the sky and the sensors are dropped to gather data. The drones, as they fall from the sky, collect data that is helpful to forecast weather conditions.
