TADEPALLY: Putting an end to speculations of a snap poll in Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy reportedly clarified to his cabinet colleagues that there were still six more months for the elections to take place.

The Chief Minister informally speaking with the ministers after the Cabinet meeting in Tadepally on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, made it clear that the elections would take place as per the schedule and not anytime sooner. He further directed the ministers to work hard for the victory of the party in these six months.

While the recent visit of YS Jagan to New Delhi and his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi fanned speculations in political circles that he would be dissolving the Assembly and would seek early elections, the Chief Minister has scotched all such speculation. He made it amply clear that there was no hurry for such a decision and that the YSRCP government would last its full term.
