ACB arrests Tribal Welfare executive engineer trapped in raid; seize Rs.65 lakh cash, 4 kg gold

HYDERABAD: Executive Engineer of Tribal Welfare department Jagat Jyothi was arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana.

It may be recalled that the ACB trapped Jagat Jyothi red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs.84,000 from a contractor belonging to Nizamabad.

Consequently, the ACB conducted searches on her residence.

The ACB sleuths were shocked to find that wads of cash were hidden at different places in her house.

ACB Director-General C V Anand on Monday night posted on “X” that the police seized a cash of Rs.65 lakh and gold ornaments weighing 4 kg.

The police would produce her in the ACB court in some time.
