SC, ST Atrocities case filed against Medchal MLA, ex-Minister Malla Reddy

Complainant alleged that the MLA and his associates had colluded with the Tahsildar of Muduchinthalpally mandal.

HYDERABAD: The Shamirpet police have booked a case against former Minister and Medchal BRS MLA C Malla Reddy and his followers for allegedly encroaching tribal land and for abusing a few people.

According to the complaint filed by K Bikshapathi (74), a resident of Chegunta mandal in Medchal district, Malla Reddy along with seven others had allegedly conned Biskhapathi’s family members and got transferred their 47 acres and 18 guntas of ST (Lambadi) heritage land in survey numbers 33, 34, 35 of Kesavaram village of Medchal-Malkajgiri district during elections.

Bikshapathi alleged that the MLA and his associates had colluded with the Tahsildar of Muduchinthalpally mandal.

“Malla Reddy paid us Rs 3 lakh each and cheated. He and his associates also committed atrocities on us,” he told the police.

The police booked an FIR and invoked Section 420 of IPC and Section 3 (1) (g) of SC & ST (POA) Act 2015 and took up investigation.
