VISAKHAPATNAM: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president N Chandrababu Naidu has accused Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy of ushering destruction in the State during his reign. “One chance given to YS Jagan has driven Andhra Pradesh backwards by 30 years by his retrogressive policies. It's high time for the people to dethrone YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) from power and support the TDP-Jana Sena alliance for a holistic development of the State,” he said.

Naidu addressed a huge public gathering attended to mark the conclusion of the Yuva Galam padyatra of Nara Lokesh at Polipalli in Vizianagaram district on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by Jana Sena party president Pawan Kalyan and the duo shared the stage for the first time after announcing alliance for the forthcoming elections.

The TDP president said that there were no cases of invasion to padayatra taken out by the political leaders anywhere in the country. For the first time, the invasions were seen during the regime of YS Jagan. The YSRCP Government created several hurdles to Yuvagalam padyatra with the support of police and it is high time to teach a lesson to the Chief Minister in the upcoming elections, he said.

Highlighting the failures of the YSRCP Government, Naidu said that be it investments, employment for youth or development each and every sector was ruined badly by the retrogressive policies of the Chief Minister. Due to lack of opportunities several youths migrated to other parts of the country. “The TDP-Jana Sena alliance will take the responsibility of streamlining the administration and generate employment opportunities for youth.

“We don't have any personal vengeance on YS Jagan except political opposition. Development in the Northern Andhra region was totally neglected during the YSRCP rule, encroachments have increased and there is no safety for all sections of the people in the State. Earlier, Visakhapatnam was considered as the financial capital of Andhra Pradesh but it now turned out to be a ganja capital,” Naidu said and added that YS Jagan obstructed the construction of Amaravati capital city and administered the State without a capital for the last four-and-a-half years.

Listing out the welfare to be taken in the State if the TDP voted to power, Naidu said that women would be allowed to travel for free in the APSRTC buses, Rs 3,000 allowance to the unemployed youth per month and livelihood opportunities for around 20 lakh people in the State. “ The YSRCP was gripped in fear with the announcement of the TDP-Jana Sena alliance and will definitely lose in the forthcoming elections. We will organise similar meetings in Amaravati and Tirupati shortly and will announce the joint manifesto of the TDP-Jana Sena alliance,” he said.

TDP-Jana Sena alliance will form Govt in 2024:Pawan Kalyan

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan reaffirmed that the TDP-Jana Sena Government would come to power in Andhra Pradesh in 2024 for a holistic development of the State. “Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy does not know the value of democracy. Why should we need a leader like YS Jagan who does not value his mother and sister at home? If the opposition leaders have raised their voice against the irregularities of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) Government, false cases were booked against them and they were attacked,” he said and added that he was also attacked on several occasions during his Varahi Yatra in the State.

Reacting on the arrest of Naidu, Pawan Kalyan said “Chandrabau Naidu was unjustly convicted in false cases for his political vendetta. I extended support to the TDP expecting nothing only for the benefit of the State which was facing a severe crisis in all sectors during the YSRCP Government and even around 30,000 women had gone missing in the State.” On Nara Lokesh Yuvagalam Padyatra, the Jana Sena president said that he felt sad for not taking a padyatra like Nara Lokesh in the State. The padyatra taken out by Nara Lokesh was totally different from that taken out by YS Jagan. During his padyatra, Lokesh focused on hearing the plight of the public, while YS Jagan’s padyatra focused on hurling kisses to the public, he ridiculed.

Taking potshots at YS Jagan for announcing new incharges for Assembly constituencies ahead of elections, Pawan Kalyan said that it was useless to change incharges and MLAs for Assembly constituencies. “People are vexed with unilateral decisions of the YSRCP Government and they will teach a befitting lesson to YS Jagan and he will be dethroned from power in the 2024 Assembly elections,” he said. On alliance between TDP and Jana Sena, Pawan Kalyan said that the alliance should be constructive and for future development of the State. “We will draft a joint manifesto and take out programmes with the TDP. We will release the activity in a future meeting,” he said and opined that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at Centre would bless the TDP-Jana Sena alliance for better future of Andhra Pradesh.

Chandrababu Naidu, visionary leader while YS Jagan prisoner: Nara Lokesh

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh said that Chandrababu Naidu was remembered for being a visionary leader, while YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was remembered as a prison. “On an average, a single case will be prosecuted if YS Jagan is kept in jail. The Chief Minister has ruined democracy. How can a person involved in lakhs of crores rupees scam be a poor person? The forthcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh will be between Jagan’s arrogance and people’s self respect. People should show the power of democracy to YS Jagan in the forthcoming elections by voting for the TDP-Jana Sena alliance,” Lokesh said.

On ‘Adudam Andhra’ scheme, Lokesh said that people of Andhra Pradesh were vexed with YS Jagan and they were also not in a position to ruin their life once again by casting their vote to the YSRCP. Launching a scatching attack on the Chief Minister, he said that YS Jagan’s IPL team should be named as ‘Kodi Katthi’ warriors and the YSRCP corrupt leaders like Anil Kumar Yadav, Ambati Rambabu, Avanthi Srinivas, Gorantla Madhav, Margani Bharath and Biyyapu Madhusudhan Reddy would be his key players. “During my padyatra, I came across the plight of the people in Andhra Pradesh. We will streamline the administration in the State, unlike YS Jagan who destroyed the construction of Amaravati capital city,” he said.
