Gold ATM Version -II to dispense gold, silver coins at Hyderabad’s Ameerpet metro station

HYDERABAD: Usually ATMs are meant to withdraw cash from it. But have you ever heard of ATMs where you can withdraw Gold? Yes it is possible. Goldsikka introduced the second version of the Real-Time Gold ATM, ‘Gold ATM Version-II’ at the Ameerpet Metro Station for the use of Metro travellers on Friday.

People could take 0.5 grams to 20 grams of gold in the form of coins in this ATM. This ATM was designed in such a way that gold and silver coins could be taken in this gold ATM through debit, credit card or UPI payment. The management of Gold Sikka Limited said that the response from the customers was better than expected.

The machine introduces a hybrid model and innovative approach provides different preferences to the users and a convenient, efficient way to buy gold. Unlike the first machine, Gold ATM version-2 has more features. Now it is possible to buy gold and silver coins as well.

Goldsikka CEO Sy Taruj said that the company launched the first machine last year at Begumpet. This new version of the ATM would dispense Gold coins from 0.5 grams, 1 gram, 2 grams, 5 grams, 10 grams, and 20 grams and Silver from 10 grams, 20 grams, 50 grams, and 100 grams, he added.

Taruj said that the machine was also equipped with screening of the live prices directly from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA). “We are also planning to expand the machines in multiple airports, starting with Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad and Mangalore Airports. We have already received about 3,000 orders for the machine from national and international markets, including countries like Russia, Turkmenia, USA, and others,” he said.
