YS Jagan may use Addanki Siddham to launch attack on TDP-BJP-Jana Sena alliance

Now that the electoral alliance between the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena has become a certainty, the YSRC would be completing its candidates selection even before they begin a dialogue.

AMARAVATHI: After the resounding success of three legs of ‘Siddham’ campaign shows with party workers, the YSR Congress Party is raring to for the fourth and last one of its mammoth rallies at P. Gudipadu of Korisepadu mandal in Addanki Assembly constituency Bapatla district.

The YSR Congress, which is way ahead of its rivals in mobilizing massive crowds, treats the last leg pf Siddham as the last nail on the coffin of the Opposition.

The YSRC conducted its first Siddham meeting at Bheemili on January 27. The humongous show caused ripples among the political circles in the State, what with the popular response to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The numerous mass contact programmes and public meetings conducted by the opposition Telugu Desam and Jana Sena, individually and collectively, could not be a match to the first “Siddham” meeting.

What’s more interesting is that response, attendance and magnitude of the Siddham shows, from edition to edition, leapfrogged in geometric proportions. The fourth edition is considered to be a grandiose event that is expected to outshine the earlier three editions.

Now that the electoral alliance between the TDP, BJP and Jana Sena has become a certainty, the YSRC would be completing its candidates selection even before they begin a dialogue.

By the time Jagan can resolve the knotty issues in constituencies wherever candidates were replaced or denied tickets. By the time he would be commencing his election campaign, the TDP-Jana Sena and BJP combine would be grappling with infighting and differences of opinion among the three parties at constituency level.

Jagan would surely use the last leg of Siddham public meeting as his platform to launch a trenchant attack on the troika coming together to fight him. In fact, TDP Rajya Sabha member Kanakmedala Ravindra Kumar told media that the three parties had agreed to fight the elections together with an objective of unseating Jagan. The three parties need to work together to ensure that anti-government vote was not divided.

This very thought process of the TDP-Jana Sena combine will surely come under attack by Jagan and the fireworks would be much stronger this time. Jagan has been explaining to people that “mee bidda (your kid) is alone on one side and several wolves are coming together to fight him from the other side.”

Jagan’s appeal to people that they should vote for him only if they felt or derived benefit from his governance and is asserting that he would renew everything that he has done and also better them with accelerated vigour.

Jagan’s challenge to his main detractors – the TDP-BJP-JSP combine – is that whether they would be able to provide the same governance as they did between 2014 and 19. After all, it was NDA Government that was enthroned in 2014 and these three parties were in league before the elections itself.

Jagan has hinted at this at many forums and he also used the Eluru Siddham held on February 3 to appeal to people to press two buttons as he pressed buttons for them for 124 times. This actually connected very well with people.

The YSRCP leadership strongly believes that this question would surely corner the TDP and embarrass the BJP. Stakes of Jana Sena in. this political ballgame are very high, but its president Pawan Kalyan has kept the door ajar for an escape route in the event of a disaster at the ballot ‘box office’.

The fourth edition of Siddham meeting will surely be made use for nailing the opposition. The only difference will be that Jagan has never directly attacked the BJP either in public or in private. Considering his cordial relationship with Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, he has always maintained a “dignified restraint” while talking about the duo or the BJP.

Now that they entered into an alliance with the TDP, Jagan can easily have a go at them.

In the Rayalaseema edition of Siddham at Raptadu on February 18 too, Jagan took on Naidu to explain what had he done in his 14 years in office and asked him to show at least one credible project.

Jagan took a jibe at the poll symbols of bicycle and glass tumbler at the Raptadu public rally. Will he say that Lotus grows only in slush will be interesting to eatch
